Sue Dolphin Clerk Mrs. Dolphin has lived in Wittmann with her husband, Bill, for over 24 years. Although still active on several committees, she has been retired for the past 6 years. She has worked in accounting for several employers in the Valley including Sun Health, Desert Sky Pavilions, and Bill Johnson’s Restaurants. Mrs. Dolphin remembers when Grand Avenue was just a two-lane highway and “you never met another car on the drive out here.” Now we have grown from a small rural school into two large elementary campuses. “I am honored to serve on the school board and I hope to make a difference in our community. I believe that education is an investment in our community’s future and must be the most important thing that we pass on to our children. Our children must be prepared to go forth with the tools to succeed in today’s global economy and be proud to say they are from Nadaburg Unified School District. I know we can accomplish this and I hope to be a part of that.”

Matt VaritekBoard Member Mr. Varitek is an actuary for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), which is Arizona’s version of Medicaid. He has 14 years of actuarial experience in the commercial health insurance industry and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Varitek holds a B.S. in mathematics from Illinois State University. “My professional success follows from my education. I have been fortunate to receive the attention and care of so many people – beginning with my parents - who are knowledgeable, committed to my growth, and willing to share what they know. I can think of no better way to thank the people who helped me explore my talents than to pay forward my own efforts for the benefit of the next generation. As a board member, I will seek input from everyone who will provide it, govern responsibly, treat people respectfully, and help ensure that the resources available are used as effectively as possible.” |

The Governing Board holds its regular meeting the second Wednesday of each month in the historic Nadaburg schoolhouse. We welcome and encourage all parents, staff, and community members to attend. We see our community as a great asset and an important resource - necessary to the improvement of our educational programs. When we come together in support of our children, we are strong. To review our Board Policies, please visit the ASBA site and click on the red "x" next to the Nadaburg Policy Manual on the left side of the page (we're on page two).
To view our Governing Board Meeting Agendas please click here. Generally speaking, regular Board meetings are meetings "held in public" to accomplish the Board's business, with a time for public comment reserved at the beginning of each meeting.
We Believe
- Students are the number-one priority.
- The Board conveys the educational wants, needs, and desires of the community, and establishes policies accordingly.
- The Board maintains high expectations for the District and themselves in working toward excellence.
